Nantucket License Plate Nonprofit Sponsor and Marketing Partners

The Nantucket specialty license plate is a reality thanks to the tireless efforts of volunteers from each of the organizations listed below. The revenues generated by the license plate will benefit these and other worthy nonprofits on Nantucket for their programs that benefit children. Marketing Partners that generated 75 or more applications during the initial marketing period will receive a pro-rata share of net revenue in perpetuity (so long as the program is in existence).

Project Sponsor

The Nantucket License Plate project was sponsored by Nantucket Lighthouse School. Over the course of more than two years the Nantucket License Plate Committee in concert with Lighthouse School spent thousands of dollars and an uncounted number of volunteer hours to help create this exciting, sustainable source of funds for local non-profits which benefit children.

Perpetuity Partners

A Safe Place provides free, confidential services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. They are dedicated to eliminating domestic violence and sexual assault, and empowering every woman, man and child in the Nantucket community to live a life free of violence.

The First Congregational Church’s mission is to be a Christian community inspired by our heritage and bound together by our Covenant. They are dedicated to caring for and welcoming all who are seeking relationship with God, and to nurturing one another in our journey of faith.

Nantucket Community Sailing is an educational non-profit that provides affordable access to sailing and water sports to the public. Now in its 21st year, Nantucket Community Sailing offers a full range of private and group sailing programs and boat rentals for children and adults of all ages and ability levels.

The Montessori Children’s House of Nantucket is a non-profit Montessori pre-school serving families on Nantucket with children ages 2 years and nine months through six years old.

The Community Foundation for Nantucket was founded by a group of local residents who identified the need for an organization to support and enrich the quality of life for Nantucket’s growing community. Their missions is to connect people who care with causes that matter by providing simple, powerful and creative ways to give back to the community to help ensure Nantucket’s vitality now and forever.

Family & Children’s Services of Nantucket is committed to helping Individuals and their families with Mental Health and/or addiction related diagnoses.

Friends of Nantucket Public Schools is an organization of parents, teachers and community members whose purpose is to promote quality education for the children of Nantucket's public schools.

MY Nantucket is a youth mentoring organization serving solely the kids on Nantucket and their families. Their programs include traditional 1:1 matches, Breakfast Buddies in the Nantucket Public Schools, Academic Mentoring in the Nantucket Elementary School, and tutoring at CPS Middle School.

Formed in the 1960's, the Nantucket Booster Club has a rich history of providing financial assistance to the high school athletic department and to student athletes.

Since 1945, the Nantucket Boys & Girls Club has been helping kids succeed. They offer kids challenge balanced with encouragement and praise…room for growth grounded in a sense of security and connections…and opportunities for individual expression reinforced with validation and support. Their mission is to empower the youth of Nantucket to realize their full potential.

Nantucket Community Music Center’s mission is to enrich the cultural life of the island by fostering and supporting music education and performance opportunities for young people and adults. NCMC proudly offers a roster of highly qualified, dedicated instructors and directors in support of island music education.

The Nantucket Dreamland Foundation is dedicated to enriching the cultural and intellectual life of Nantucket by providing year-round films, educational programs, and a venue for activities that engage Nantucket in the evolving world of digital entertainment and education in one of America’s oldest theaters.

Nantucket Ice is a non-profit organization founded in 1995, dedicated to creating a year round healthy recreational environment where Nantucket children, adults, and families can gather to enjoy the sport of Ice Skating.
